Hanford Teen Rush Day

Join us at the Hanford Library for our "This Is Teen" Rush Day Saturday, August 29 from 1pm-3pm! Teens 12-19, show off your artistic talent while making the library's sidewalk beautful by participating in our sidewalk art contest (chalk will be provided). The themes for the Sidewalk Art contest are Summer or Summer Memories;prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place. There will also be a giveaway for all teens and ice cream donated by Superior Dairy.  See flyer for more information.

Attention all Kings County teens between the ages of 12-19! The library is looking for members for our new Teen Advisory Group. The Teen Advisory Group (aka TAG) will help with creating fun, interactive programs and events for teens throughout the county. Members will be expected to complete a library volunteer application form and attend meetings regularly at the Hanford Branch Meeting Room.

Music Composition Workshop Lecture

During this lecture, Jay Rossette will highlight some of his personal experiences in the valley music scene, and discuss how music is created. He will talk about song inspirations, working with musicians, solo songwriting, basic musical form, and how to compose simple tunes so that the audience can see exactly which elements are used to construct songs.
