Friends of the Library is an affiliate of California Friends of the Library. Formed in 1984, our purpose is to maintain an association of persons interested in books who will focus public attention on our library's needs. We encourage gifts and donations for the purchase of new books and magazine subscriptions. Contributions for endowments and memorials are welcome. Although our group is small, our contributions are large, enabling the library to augment its book collection.

BookBuddies
The BookBuddies club was established in 1994 within the Friends of the Library to enhance children's services. Dedicated volunteers work with the Children's Librarian to present live story hours weekly in the Children's Room of the Hanford Branch Library.

Contact: Wilma Humason
Meetings: 2nd Thursday of the month & 12:00 noon. (October through May)
Place: Hanford Branch Library Meeting Room. The public is invited to join.
